Welcome at Airfield Eisenach- Kindel

located in the center of Germany and Europe

The Traf­fic Air­field Eise­nach-Kindel is locat­ed in the cen­ter of Ger­many and Europe. At the begin­ning of the nineties the for­mer Russ­ian mil­i­tary air­field was con­vert­ed to a civ­il traf­fic air­field class 1 due to pres­sure of com­mu­nal politics.

Air­planes up to 20t MTOW, heli­copter and oth­er air sports equip­ment are approved to use this air­field which indi­cates this air­field as a plat­form for near­ly all air trans­porta­tion divi­sions of gen­er­al avi­a­tion. The air­field is used for busi­ness and car­go flights as well as flight school, sky dives and oth­er pri­vate leisure flights.

Lots of schools for engine pow­ered flights, micro­lite flights and sky div­ing as well as an aero­space com­pa­ny for busi­ness and car­go, a per­ma­nent exhi­bi­tion of avi­a­tion, pro­duc­er of air­crafts and sev­er­al clubs are locat­ed at the airfield.

Due to the cen­tral loca­tion, opti­mal con­nec­tions in between the cities along the motor­way 4 and a well-devel­oped infra­struc­ture the air­field has become a high­ly attrac­tive loca­tion for com­pe­ti­tions of avi­a­tion, exhi­bi­tions and car events.

The air­field is locat­ed direct­ly in the world her­itage region Wart­burg Hainich. This region attracts peo­ple due to the untouched nature of the Thuringian Forests and the nation­al park Hainich as well as numer­ous cul­tur­al and his­toric build­ings, e.g. the Wart­burg in Eisenach.

This region is one of the most eco­nom­i­cal regions in Thuringia and famous for its car indus­try and sup­pli­er companies.
