Dear airport users,

Due to the German RaceWars racing event taking place from May 14, 2026, to May 17, 2026, the following flight operational restrictions will occur at Eisenach-Kindel Airport, which we ask you to observe:

from 2026-05-07 – 07:00 UTC to 2026-05-19 16:00 UTC

1. Taxiway “Charly” and Apron 3 closed for flight operations

from 2026-05-15 – 08:30 UTC to 2026-05-17 07:30 UTC

1. Taxiway “Bravo” closed for flight operations

from 2026-05-12 – 14:00 UTC to 2024-05-18 – 16:00 UTC (see NOTAM)

1. no solo flights by student pilots;
2. Threshold 28 displaced by 300 m to the west;
3. The remaining RWY length is restricted to 1,200 m between thresholds 10/28;
4. No marking of longitudinal stripes for the temporary threshold 28;
5. Aircraft over 2t MTOW-PPR
6. Obstacles in the closed area east of threshold 28;
7. No night flights, except for helicopters

from 2026-05-15 – 08:30 UTC to 2026-05-16 – 07:30 UTC and

from 2026-05-16 – 08:30 UTC to 2026-05-17 – 07:30 UTC

• Airport closed to all air traffic, except for helicopters

Please also observe the relevant aeronautical publications (NOTAM etc.), any notices posted at the airport, and instructions from the flight directors.

Please also expect increased arrival and departure traffic for the event and resulting traffic congestion.

Please prepare for the expected conditions and inform your customers, club members, and charterers accordingly.

A vacant parking space in our round hangar is now available for re-rental for UL or E class (high-wing aircraft).
