The foundation of the promoting organisatione "Verkehrslandeplatz Eisenach-Kindel e.V" on 02.03.1995 was an important step to integrate an airport into the economical life of this region. For this development it was necessary to get impulses from economy and tourism.
The purpose of this organisation is to improve conditions for air traffic in this region. This intention is realizable through the airport owner supporting in planning and extension this airport.
Further this organisation coordinates the interests of its members in developing traffic on this airport and integration in touristic concepts of this region. With its activity this organisation works for ideological purposes. The principal purpose is promoting the integration of this airport in the regional development as an element of infrastructure.
At this time there are more than 80 members, mostly companies from Wartburgkreis.
